I grew up in a Jewish household. Prayer was never a part of my life, nor did I ever imagine the vital role it would play. Today, I pray every day that my higher power does for me what I cannot do for myself. I get down on my knees sometimes, and sometimes I pray on the way to work. I pray that I can put my will out of the way and for everything to happen to me exactly as it should. I pray for those who I resent, and for those who I know are suffering.
