Prayer

I grew up in a Jewish household.  Prayer was never a part of my life, nor did I ever imagine the vital role it would play.  Today, I pray every day that my higher power does for me what I cannot do for myself.  I get down on my knees sometimes, and sometimes I pray on the way to work.  I pray that I can put my will out of the way and for everything to happen to me exactly as it should.  I pray for those who I resent, and for those who I know are suffering.
