Daily Mindfulness 9/12/12

When we are mindful, we are able to exhibit free will. When we are not being mindful of our thoughts and feelings, we lose free will and are enslaved to our emotions. Practicing mindfulness when emotions and thoughts arise help us maintain our clarity and act in ways that are congruent with our higher intention.

Today, take three deep breaths when emotions or thoughts arise that may be unpleasant. These may include stress, pessimism, irritation, fear, anxiety, regret, and many more. Bring yourself back to the present moment, and connect with your higher intention.
