Being mindful of our eating habits is a simple, but not easy practice. Being mindful of how we eat allows us to enjoy each moment, each bite, and each meal. Do we not often reach for the next bite of food while still chewing the bite before? Practicing mindfulness, we are grateful for all the people, resources, energy, and love that goes into making our food appear before us. We say thanks to the earth that grew our food, thanks to the people who helped grow the food, thanks to the rain and sunshine, and thanks to the person that prepared it for us.
